Engagement can take the form of the following social interactions:

  • Delivering content that is both relevant and valuable to the audience you are trying to reach.
  • Acknowledging likes, shares and comments (both positive and negative) on your content;
  • Talking about the products or services you’re promoting without aggressively marketing them;

  • Being consistent on social media. People become emotionally attached to you, your business, and your brand when they believe that you will be around for a long time.
  • Creating an environment that enables your audience to perceive you as an expert or authority in your niche.
  • People will become loyal to you as they become emotionally attached to you and will advocate for you (talk about you, share your content, and join your conversations).

On many levels, social media gives you the opportunity to engage and interact with your audience – your prospective customers and current customers – at many different levels.

By creating one-to-one dialogs and encouraging dialogs, you can engage people on the Internet and encourage conversions.
