One of the best ways to boost your self-worth is by setting goals and working towards them.

When you accomplish something, even if it’s small, it can make you feel good about yourself.

4. Establish an internal locus of control

An internal locus of control is the belief that you, rather than external factors, are in charge of your life and the outcomes you achieve.

  6. Don’t undervalue your achievements, no matter how insignificant they appear to be.
  7. Be patient – it takes time to develop a strong internal locus of control.

5. Develop an attitude of lifelong learning

In a sense, lifelong learning is a never-ending process of development and growth.

Strive to learn something new every day.

The moment we imagine we have mastered everything there is to know, we are heading for trouble.

We begin blaming external factors when we forget to look for the lessons instead of seeking to learn what is necessary for our life journey.

Here are some helpful tips on getting started on this lifelong journey:

1) Read daily.

Reading helps with improving your vocabulary, making inferences about the deeper meaning of what you are reading, and allows you to think critically.

2) Question everything.

Everything that you read or learn should be questioned. Don’t instantly believe something that another person says because everything is subjective. Learn how to make connections by asking yourself what this has to do with that. While doing this will take up more of your time, it is very important when it comes to lifelong learning.

3) Write daily.

Writing helps you learn and retain information better than simply reading or listening so try writing out summaries of what you read every day. Writing every day will also help improve your vocabulary and reading comprehension.

4) Get enough sleep.

You can’t learn much when you’re tired so be sure to get at least 7 hours of sleep every night. If you don’t, then your mind will not function properly and you won’t be able to process information efficiently.

5) Exercise 3 times a week.

Exercise increases blood flow to the brain, which allows you to think more clearly and remember information better. Working out is even scientifically proven to increase creativity so why wouldn’t you want to try it?

6) Meditate daily.

Meditating allows your mind to shut down for a short period of time and relax. This will make lifelong learning much easier because with a relaxed mind, you will be able to concentrate better.

7) Go outside every day.

Getting some fresh air is a great way to relax and make lifelong learning much easier on yourself because you’ll be in a better mood to learn new things. So, next time you’re feeling a little lazy just remember that lifelong learning takes effort!

8) Ask stimulating questions.

Asking new, challenging questions will make lifelong learning more engaging and fun. So, ask yourself things like “what if” or “how would I go about doing this.” You’ll be surprised at how much better lifelong learning feels with these types of questions.

9) Practice mindfulness.

Mindfulness is all about being in the moment and only focusing on what is happening right now. This will help you think more creatively and process information much faster.

10) Be open-minded.

Look for the wisdom that you can extract from new people and situations you encounter. Especially when we make mistakes, look for lessons to learn. Every mistake teaches us something.

We are so conditioned to look for love in return that we forget how to simply give it away.

It’s not about the money or status that we acquire, but rather the difference we make in this world.

It doesn’t matter whether your purpose is to make people happy by ensuring they receive their packages by becoming a courier or to discover the cure to AIDS.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this question.

Everyone’s life purpose is unique and specific to them.

Your life’s purpose can be something as simple as making people smile or as ambitious as saving the world.

However, there are a few things you can do to help you find your own unique life purpose.

Here are a few tips on finding your life’s purpose:

a. Sit down and brainstorm.

Define what you want in life.

What are your top priorities?

b. What are you really interested in?

What activities do you love doing more than anything else?

Spend some time thinking about what you’re truly passionate about.

Passion is a key ingredient in finding one’s life purpose.

Things that you are passionate about make you feel alive, puts a smile on your face and fills your heart with joy.

When you do the things that make your heart sing, you are on the right track.

So ask yourself what makes you happy and what you’re passionate about.

Reflect on your personal strengths and talents. What are you naturally good at? What comes easily and naturally to you?

Try volunteering or taking on new challenges that will allow you to make a difference in the world.

c. Do some research.

Find out what careers or lifestyles appeal to you and explore those options further.

Consider taking a career test.

These tests are often used for students who want to find out what kind of job would suit them best. They can be helpful even if you’re over 40 years old and have been working in the same field for years!

d. Pray about it.

Directly ask God what His will is for your life.

You might be surprised at how clearly the response comes!

e. Pay attention to your emotions and feelings.

At times when we are feeling lost or uncertain, paying attention to our emotions and feelings can help us connect with our inner guidance.

This is because our emotions and feelings are often reflections of what’s going on inside of us energetically.

For example, if we’re feeling scared or anxious, it could mean that we’re not in alignment with our true desires or goals.

If we’re feeling sad or depressed, it might be a sign that we need to practice self-care and reflect.

Trusting your intuition can be tricky at first, but with time and practice, you’ll learn to discern which thoughts and feelings are valid.

The bottom line is that by tuning in to how we’re feeling emotionally, we can get a sense of what might be going on inside of us energetically.

f. Pay attention to your inner guidance.

When you’re mindful, you’re paying attention to the present moment and not letting your thoughts control you.

Instead of letting your mind run wild with worry or anxiety, you learn how to observe your thoughts without judgment.

This allows you to get in touch with your intuition and make decisions based on what feels right for you.

Another way to connect with your inner guidance is through meditation.

When you quiet your mind and focus on your breath, you’re essentially opening yourself up to receive guidance from within.

This doesn’t mean that you’ll always get an answer right away, but with practice, you may start to notice subtle clues or messages from your intuition that can guide you in the right direction.

g. Ask for advice from those who know you best – your family and friends will have a good idea of what makes you happy and what you’re good at.

Look for ways to use your natural talents and interests to help others.

Follow your heart and go with what feels right for you.
